



The provision of outdoor sports includes football pitches, mini soccer pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts, fishing waters, croquet, basketball, model car racing, cycle speedway, model aircraft flying and field archery as well as outdoor pursuits such as canoeing, abseiling and orienteering. School Sport Partnerships are central to the Government's aim of creating a world class system for PE and sport for all children and young people; a system that will stimulate and increase participation in sport and sustain it.
The Bury School Sport Partnerships consists of 14 secondary and 63 primary schools serving approximately 18,400 young people. In addition we've recently welcomed Holy Cross and Bury College to the partnership.
There are 2 Hub-sites, Broad Oak Sports College and Woodhey specialist science college
Together with our key local partners the two School Sport Partnerships aims to create attractive, innovative opportunities for all young people to engage in sport and clear pathways for them to pursue their chosen activities.
