The Internet
Surfing the Internet is an exciting way to get access to massive amounts of information. There are websites however which claim to contain unbiased/factual information where the site is designed to sell products or influence you in some way. There are many sites which contain images which are unsuitable for children and young people. Protect yourself by making considered choices about where you go on the web. Safe surfing is easy if you keep in mind a few easy rules.
Safe Surfing
- Don’t give personal information about you/your family or friends.
- If you receive or see anything which makes you feel uncomfortable, leave this area quickly and tell someone (like your parents).
- Don’t agree to meet up with anyone you talk to on-line!
- Don’t accept emails, links, files etc. from anyone you don’t know or trust.
- Don’t give out your password.
