The Youth Service's primary purpose is the personal and social development of young people.

Within the Youth Service, numerous community groups, voluntary organizations and Local Authorities work in partnership to facilitate access to resources and in assisting the achievement of shared targets in community order and safety, health, citizenship, education, training and employment.
